Day 0: Arrival in Arusha or Moshi – Welcome to Tanzania!

Your journey begins upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK).You’ll be warmly welcomed by our professional representative from Kiliserengoro, who will assist with your transfer to your pre-booked hotel or lodge in Arusha or Moshi. This day is designed for rest and acclimatization as you prepare for your upcoming 3-day Tanzania group safari adventure.

During the evening, you’ll meet your expert guide for a detailed safari briefing. You’ll learn about the national parks you’ll visit, what wildlife to expect, what to pack, and safety guidelines to ensure a comfortable and memorable experience. Overnight stay at a cozy lodge with dinner and breakfast included.

Day 1: Arusha/Moshi to Tarangire National Park – The Land of Elephants

So, today we drive to Tarangire National Park as the start of 3 days of shared safari in Tanzania. Tarangire is a small park that offers some excellent sights. Generally, in the dry seasons, Tarangire comes alive as wildlife and birdlife. This congregates on the Tarangire River, which is a permanent source of water. We spend the night in our lodge beautifully set inside the park with stunning views and a unique atmosphere.

After an early breakfast, your 3 Days Tanzania Sharing Safari officially begins! You’ll depart Arusha or Moshi and travel southwest across scenic Maasai plains to Tarangire National Park, famous for its ancient baobab trees, large elephant herds, and spectacular wildlife diversity. This park is often called the “mini Serengeti” due to its beautiful landscapes and abundance of animals.

As you embark on a thrilling game drive, keep your eyes peeled for lions, leopards, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, buffalo, and hundreds of colorful bird species. During the dry season (June to October), the Tarangire River becomes a vital water source, attracting thousands of animals — a truly breathtaking sight for photographers and nature lovers alike.

Day 2: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater – The Natural Wonder of Africa

We start the day with an early morning game drive before heading to the Ngorongoro Crater. In fact, Ngorongoro is a special place in that it is a Conservation Area, not a National Park. So, this means that the whole area has both the animals and the local Maasai people. These people graze their cattle alongside the indigenous wildlife. During the drive to Ngorongoro, we have a chance to glimpse something of the Maasai way of life.

After stopping at the entrance gate, where there is a chance to learn more about this fascinating volcanic landscape. Then, we will drive around the rim of the Crater itself. Also, from here we can look down and see the herd of wildebeest or buffalos. Finally, we descend into the crater. Indeed, the crater walls provide a natural sanctuary for the animals. So, this means there is plenty to see: lions, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, and leopards (if you are lucky).

The only animal you won’t see here during the 3 days Tanzania sharing safari is a giraffe. These animals have long legs and are unable to cope with the steep sides of the crater. In the late afternoon, we make a short journey from the crater to our permanent tented camp.

Rise early for a sunrise breakfast before departing for the world-renowned Ngorongoro Conservation Area,a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most spectacular safari destinations in Africa. En route, you’ll pass through Maasai villages where you can observe traditional homesteads and the unique coexistence between people, livestock, and wildlife.

Upon arrival, you’ll stop at the crater’s viewpoint to admire the panoramic vista before descending 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater floor is a haven for more than 25,000 large animals, including the Big Five—lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and black rhinos. You’ll also encounter zebras, hippos, hyenas, gazelles, and many bird species within this self-contained ecosystem.

Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool while surrounded by breathtaking scenery. In the late afternoon, ascend the crater rim and transfer to your overnight tented camp or lodge, where Kiliserengoro ensures comfort, warmth, and authentic Tanzanian hospitality after an unforgettable day.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara National Park – Birds and Tree-Climbing Lions

In this last day of the 3-day Tanzania sharing safari package, we drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day of game drives. This is one of Tanzania’s smaller parks but still offers a rewarding and diverse safari experience. The lakeshore at Manyara teems with birdlife, and while you are looking for the birds. Also, you might spot one of the elusive tree-climbing lions. There are a surprising number of other large mammals and the striking cliffs on the Rift escarpment. In the late afternoon, we make a short journey from the park to our permanent tented camp.

After breakfast, you’ll drive to Lake Manyara National Park, the final stop on your Tanzania shared safari packageThough small in size, this park offers a rich tapestry of habitats, including acacia forests, groundwater springs, open grasslands, and the soda lake itself — a magnet for thousands of flamingos and other migratory birds.
