4 Days Tanzania Safari Itinerary (2025 - 2026)
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Your safari adventure begins after breakfast. Depart from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and large elephant population. Tarangire also hosts giraffes, impalas, lions, leopards, and over 500 bird species.
Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch at a scenic spot. After the drive, head to your lodge or tented camp near Lake Manyara for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, explore Lake Manyara National Park, known for its lush groundwater forest, hot springs, and the famous tree-climbing lions. The park is a bird lover’s paradise with flamingos, storks, and pelicans dominating the lakeshore.
Spend the day on game drives and nature spotting, with a lunch break inside the park. In the evening, head to Karatu for dinner and overnight at your lodge or campsite.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Full Day Game Drive
After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world’s most stunning wildlife havens. The crater is home to Africa’s Big Five, including the rare black rhino, as well as cheetahs, hippos, hyenas, wildebeest, and flamingos.
Enjoy a full-day safari inside the crater, with a picnic lunch at the famous hippo pool. Later, ascend and return to Arusha for your final overnight stay or airport transfer (depending on plan).
Day 4: Arusha National Park – Walking Safari and Game Drive
Your final day takes you to Arusha National Park, a small but scenic gem nestled between Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro. It’s the only park in Northern Tanzania where you can do a walking safari alongside giraffes, zebras, and antelope.
Explore landmarks such as the Momella Lakes, Ngurdoto Crater, and waterfalls, accompanied by an armed ranger. Later, return to Arusha where your incredible 4-day safari ends with amazing memories and new friends.
