Muthamilselvi Narayanan (born 9 May 1989) is an extraordinary Indian sportsperson, mountaineer, and social motivator from Tamil Nadu.
She has etched her name in history as the first Tamil woman to scale Mount Everest and the first Tamil woman to summit the highest peaks of five continents within 267 days between 2023 and 2024 — a feat that places her among the world’s elite adventurers.
Hailing from Johilpatti village, Virudhunagar district, Muthamilselvi’s journey began far from the icy heights of the Himalayas.
Growing up in humble surroundings, she developed an early passion for physical fitness and self-discipline.
Despite facing financial hardships and social barriers, her dream of touching the world’s highest peaks burned brightly.

Later, on 23 December 2021, she and her daughters completed a blindfolded 165-foot rappel in Himachal Pradesh to raise awareness against sexual violence.

A graduate in Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) and a certified Japanese Language Professional,
Muthamilselvi now resides in Chennai, where she manages Tamil Café and conducts
Japanese language training sessions for students and professionals.
She regularly visits schools, colleges, rotary clubs, and organizations to share her experiences, motivate youth, and
advocate for women’s empowerment and self-identity.

Blindfolded Descent – Women's Day 2021
On 7 March 2021, to mark International Women's Day, she descended a 155-foot-high mountain near Sriperumbudur, completely blindfolded — symbolizing women’s inner strength and resilience. The act was recognized by UNICO World Records.
Mother-Daughter Blindfolded Rappel – 2021
On 23 December 2021, she and her two daughters performed a 165-foot blindfolded rappel in Kulang village, Himachal Pradesh. Carrying her youngest daughter on her back, she raised awareness about sexual violence against girls — a record recognized by UNICO World Records.
Archery Record as Veera Mangai Velu Nachiyar – 2022
On 26 January 2022, during Republic Day celebrations, she dressed as the historic warrior queen Veera Mangai Velu Nachiyar and shot 1,389 arrows in 3 hours while on horseback, setting a record for focus and endurance.
