Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Your adventure begins early in the morning from Arusha. After meeting your safari guide,
you will drive approximately two hours to Tarangire National Park. On arrival, enjoy a
game drive in this park known for its giant baobab trees and enormous elephant populations.
Tarangire is also home to lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeests, and
countless antelopes.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park while watching wildlife nearby. In the
afternoon, continue exploring different parts of the park, including riverbeds and
grasslands where predators are often seen hunting. In the evening, head towards Karatu
town for dinner and overnight at a comfortable lodge or tented camp.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
After an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend 600 meters
into the crater for a full-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is home to more than
25,000 animals, including the endangered black rhino, large prides of lions, hippos,
elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, flamingos, and many species of birds.
Around midday, you will stop for a picnic lunch at the hippo pool area, where you can
relax and enjoy the scenery while watching hippos wallowing. Later in the afternoon,
ascend from the crater and return to Arusha, arriving by evening. This marks the end of
your unforgettable 2-day safari.
